The Chemical Brothers have announced details of their new album, ‘For That Beautiful Feeling’, out 8th September. Watch the video for recent single, ‘Live Again’, below.
The Chemical Brothers’ tenth EP, which will arrive via EMI/Virgin Records, was recorded in the band’s own studio near the south coast. It is described as a “collection of music that’s vividly colourful and confident and deeply psychedelic” and that captures the “wild moment when sound overwhelms you and almost pulls you under yet ultimately lets you ride its wave.”
Alongside the announcement, the duo have shared a music video for their latest single, ‘Live Again’, directed by their longtime collaborators Dom & Nic, who created the iconic videos for tracks including 'Hey Boy Hey Girl'. The track, which offered the first taste of the upcoming album, was released in late June, and features vocals from experimental Parisian singer Halo Maud.
Speaking on the video, Dom & Nic said: “Working with The Chemical Brothers is a dream for any video director. We’re really lucky to be still making films together after quite a few years. The Chems just keep smashing it with great tracks that demand videos that live up to the music and hopefully add something extra to the whole experience.”
Last month, The Chemical Brothers also announced details of their first official book, set for release on 26th October via White Rabbit. Paused in Cosmic Reflection is described as the “definitive story of The Chemical Brothers” retrospectively spanning their 30-year career, told by both the duo and collaborators over the years.
